Artificially intelligent robots are predicted to replace occupations in the future. Some jobs can be substituted by robots, but other jobs require presence of the human beings. There are some reasons why it is not possible to replace all jobs with robots.
On the one hand, artificially intelligent robots can substitute some of the occupations, which do not require specific human skills. To grow financial status, some of the companies prefer artificial intelligence since, it is less expensive than hiring, training and employing employees. For example, in Australia, most of the supermarkets have operated automated checkout systems instead of hiring staffs at the counter. Those automated checkout systems help costumers to scan the products and receive the payment. Because of this reason, jobs that can be replaced by robotic intelligence will be replaced.
On the other hand, other jobs require human contact and are not replaceable by robots. Specific human skills such as thinking, feeling and decision-making are the reasons that make humans unique rather than artificially intelligent. For instance, jobs related to social, education and medicine are not possible to accomplish only by robots since those types of jobs need one’s psychological prospects and physical involvement to maintain a better work environment. As a result, only the basic level of occupations could be operated with robots.
In conclusion, a significant number of employment will be performed by robots that do not require human contact, however, other occupations that cannot be done without human-specific skills will be run by human beings.
