Learning a language is extremely important for students. Most people think that students should begin learning a language earlier in school. While others believe that learning a language should be later for students level of studying. Although sometimes we have to learn a language at a later school period, depending on the situation, from my perspective, children should learn language early because they can get fast, conveniently, and deeply new language skills.
On the one hand, it is understandable that, learning a language without any help at an early age is very arduous for children. If they try to do this when they start school, they may think that school is too complicated and want to drop out. For example, if a second grader wants to learn English, he or she will have a multitude of issues, and if there is no one to help him or she, he or she will not be able to learn the new language, and he or she will not be interested in his or her lessons. As a result, this will engender them to drop out of their education.
On the other hand, there is tremendous value in learning a language early relative to learning it later in life. Researches have shown that languages can be acquired far more easily early in one’s education. For example, children who have learned the rudimentary of the English language in kindergarten can enhance it more easily and fast during school, while a student who starts learning in the fifth grade suffers a lot and cannot be equally productive.
In conclusion, although sometimes there are a number of obstacles due to our lack of familiarity with languages, in my opinion, the earlier we get to know languages, the more easily we can learn them deeply.
