Some individuals believe that it is palpable to use animals for medical purposes for the advantage of society, while others think that it is wrong. Experiments in animals for medical aims can harm biodiversity because a lot of animals can die during research. However, I believe that using animals in medicine can benefit because it can foster science and scientists can find treatments for many illnesses.
A huge amount of animals can die during research from an arrangement of vaccines and autopsies and it can lead to a decrease in animal population. Moreover, if many animals are killed it can destroy biodiversity in nature and tend to environmental problems. For example, in Cambridge University research that deployed frogs for experiments, the population of frogs rapidly diminished. As a result, the food chain was spoiled, and amount of mosquitos increased and attacked local residents. However, I claim that if researchers use animals with care and do not demand their population this problem can be solved.
Using animals for medicine can develop science and find approaches to cancers and other sicknesses. Therefore, experiments on animals for medical purposes can open doors in science and can invent a lot of drugs for various untreatable illnesses. For instance, in China, research including rat experiments finished successfully and found that brain illnesses can be controlled and treated. Moreover, research that experimented on bats found that the COVID-19 virus can cause bats.
In conclusion, while some would think that it is acceptable use animals in medicine for benefit of individuals, others claim that it is not. Using animals for medical purposes can have detrimental impact on environment, but if human beings more care to them during research results will be beneficial for society.
