Nowadays, visiting public museums and art galleries do not play an important role because people can observe historical objects and works on computers. I fully disagree with this statement for a few reasons.
Seeing art works in real life offers a unique experience that computers can not provide. When visitors view famous painting , they can appreciate its true size , texture or details in front of the display. For instance, looking at Monalisa online may be convenient but it can not give the feeling of original historical atmosphere. Also , public museums offer social and cultural sphere where communities gather. Tourists or school groups visit them to share experience and explore historical sculptures and this emotion can not be replicated by online observing alone at home.
Besides these, museums and art galleries play a vital role in education. Students can learn through textbooks and turning information into reality with experience. When they see original artworks they can better understand how people lived or how the life was in the past.
