Some people argue that children should be taught about the junk food’s effect on health in school. While others think that this initiative should be taken from home. This essay will discuss both these points of view and argue in favor of the latter.
On the one hand, children spend a significant amount of their day in school. During this time, staying on their own, they can easily get access to junk food. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the teachers to aware the students about the negative effects of those foods and keep them safe. Moreover, many students are predominantly dependent on their school for acquiring knowledge. For example, parents who work outside the home cannot make enough time for their children to educate them. As a result, they significantly rely on the school to make their children educated about any matters. Besides, children can learn with more fun in school, along with their peers and friends. Therefore, learning about the health issues of junk food will become more intrigued and effective.
On the other hand, family is the first and primary source of learning for the children. Therefore, it is a key responsibility for the parent to make their offspring aware about the drawbacks of junk foods on health. Also, this way of educating influences them notably. For instance, if children get informed and learned from their home, they will become more conscious, even staying outdoors.
In my opinion, children’s learning about the effects of junk food depends on the knowledge instilled in them at home. Therefore, educating at home holds more substantial sway over children than at school.
