Band 6+: Some people feel that certain workers like nurses, doctors and teachers are undervalued and should be paid more, especially when other people like film stars and company bosses are paid huge sums of money that are out of proportion to the importance of the work they do.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

I agree that certain essential workers such as nurses doctors and teachers are often undervalued and deserve higher compensation. These individuals play crucial roles in societ contributing directly to well-being and education of others. In contrast some high paying professions like film actors or company bosse may not have the same level of societal impact.

One criterion for determining salaries should be the societal value of the work performed. Essential workers who directly contribute to the healt education and safety of the population should be compensated accordingly. For example nurses and doctors work long hours under challenging conditions to provide medical care while teachers shape the future by educating the next generation. Another criterion could the level of skill expertise and training required for the job. Professions that demand extensive education, training, and speciale knowledge should receive higher compensation to attract and retain qualified individuals. For instance becoming a doctor or a teacher often requires years of rigorous education and training.

Moreover the principle of fairness should guide salary decisions. Discrepancies pay between different professions should be justified by factors such as the level of responsibility impact on society and difficulty of the work. It’s essential to recognize and reward the contributions of all workers fairly.

In conclusion certain workers like nurses doctors and teachers deserve higher pay due to the importance of their roles in society and the level of skill and expertise required for their professions. Salary decisions should consider societal value level of skill and train and fairness to ensure that all workers are compensated appropriately for their contributions.
