Band 6+: Some people think educated people are more valuable than people who learned skills through experience. Do you think educated people are most valuable for society? What kind of skill can people learn through experience that can benefit society?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

It is often said that many people are drawing attention to educated people and people have learned skills through experience. In fact, there are some who hold firmly to their belief that people who have learned skills through experiences have less value than educated people. However, others argue convincingly that experienced people also have significant values in society. As far as I am concerned, I totally agree with the view that educated people are most valuable for society, and some major points will be addressed in the following paragraphs

On the one hand, there is clear evidence for other people to defend their opposite view. It is a well-documented fact that sometimes the role of a degree is not enough for achievement or promotion, so that experience is one of the major aspects that is considered before hiring in a high post. For instance, in today’s world, the competition in business is quite high and to achieve that a person with experience also holds great value

On the other hand, there are a number of points for people to support the view that educated people play an important role in society. First, it is commonly accepted that high salaried positions usually depend on the great degree. The most obvious example to prove is that a doctor can not enter into a professional practice without a proper degree and the same goes for engineering and pilot. Second, there is no denying that a sign of a developed community is education. A clear evidence being found to prove is that without education, a person will lack the power of knowledge and stability to achieve his goal. In terms of skills people can learn through experiences, people should learn to solve problems quickly and the knowledge they have acquired has better retention because their minds will be pushed to juggle both tasks. For instance, these could be overwhelming and very challenging but this is the only way to learn things quickly.

In conclusion, it is my strong belief that educated people have significant values for society. Accordingly, I highly recommend that the government should enhance people’s awareness in terms of the importance of education. If this recommendation is carried out, the comprehensive development of our future generation will be ensured.
