Many people think that cities should be designed to be gorgeous rather than convenient to live. Others have opposite position and believe that people should live in functional cities. This essay will discuss this opinion.
First of all, I absolutely disagree that cities should be only eye-catching and nothing more. Of course, the surrounding environment indeed influenced on every person especially on our mood and feelings. Dispite of this, you could not live comfortable life if humanity had not discovered or found some solutions to live better. For instance, subway is one of the most convenient thing to go to destination really fast. All discoveries that are connected with the transport system make cities more functional. Especially, if this system is well- organised.
Beautiful and historic cities are indeed necessary. As a matter of fact, these towns attract a crowd of people who want to visit the main magnificent streets, buildings and historic inheritance. These places could become touristic. Because of this, some people could start their businesses and earn a significant amount of money from tourists. For example, Rome is one of the most historic and gorgeous city in our planet. Every second person has a dream to visit it. Therefore, they are ready to pay a lot of money. It gives many advantages to city to improve it. However, this city is only cultural. It is really inconvenient to live here because you cannot to reach a certain place because of non-organised transport system and a crowd every time.
In conclusion, I suppose that it is important to have a cultural and beautiful cities in the countries. Some people could live there and have inspiration all the time. From my perspective, others would live in more convenient and practical cities, where you do not waste your time.
