Some people believe that schools should teach students by using films, TV, video games and computers instead of using books. While it is true to some extent, students should learn from both books and modern technology.
On the one hand, there are some benefits of using technology to teach. Firstly, teaching by TV and computer makes lessons more interesting. Some students find it easier to understand lessons when they learn through films and video games. For example, in the USA most schools use computer presentations in classroom, which help students pay more attention to the lessons. Secondly, learning from TV and video games can help students become more creativity. When students study by using modern technology, their brains can be more imaginative. As a result, their learning can become more effective.
On the other hand, learning in a traditional way can also bring many advantages. Firstly, books help students develop important skills such as concentration. When students read books, they need to focus for a long time, which helps them understand information more deeply. For example, in China, students still learn from books, which help them to think more deeply compared to students in other countries. Secondly, using books to teach can help students improve vocabulary and grammar. This is because there are many different words and sentence structures in books, which allows students to learn language more effectively.
In conclusion, although technology can make learning more interesting and effective, I would argue that schools should teach by using both books and technology. As a result, students can develop knowledge and skills in a more effective way.
