It’s believed by many that the youth should choose their carrier paths by themselves although on the other side of the coin guardians should play a role in making the choices for them. This essay will discuss the reasons why youth should be allowed to male their decisions when it comes to their career and also why the guardians should also be involved as many have thought it’s beneficial to both the parents and the young generation.
I strongly believe that youth should be allowed to make their own decision when it comes to their carrier paths in guidance of their parent since it’s also believed that parents have a lot of experience in day to day live and would be of great guidance when it comes to choosing the best careers compared to when they are solely left alone to make the decision as we all know charity begins at home as the young generation grows they need to be good role models and careers maters a lot and hence having them make their choices with their parents guidance would be of great assistance.
I would like to look at the other side of the coin where guardians are believed to make choices for the young generation having in mind that they have experience in different carriers and also the job opportunities tied to the career, this sometimes would demoralize the young person since what they would want to pursue is not what their parents wants and leads to poor productivity and low self-esteem. For example in today generation most of the youths have learnt a lot in technology which their parents are not conversant with and making decision for them will lead to failure in future
In my opinion young generation should male their own choices when it comes to carrier pathways in guidance of their elders or guardians where applicable to avoid future regrets and also low self esteem.
