Celebrities have influenced a lot of young people in recent decades. While this trend brings some benefits, I am not sure that it is a good development.
Some famous people’s effects are really beneficial for young adults. For example, Wendy Suzuki, she is a neuroscientist. So she has discovered that doing exercises is not only useful for physical health, but it also has a good effect on mental health, it can improve mood through several ways. Another influencer is Malala Yousafzai in social media. Despite the fact that she is just 17-year old, she is a Pakistan female education activist and a Nobel Prize laureate. In addition, she advocates girl’s access to education especially in conflict-affected areas.
However, not all of the well known people are like them. Nowadays people who promote unattainable beauty standards and lead lavish lifestyles are being held in high regard, which can lead to many inadequacy feelings among people. Because many youngsters are influenced by Instagram, they watch luxury life and parties there and they feel frustrated with ordinary lifestyles. Today people excessively showcase, they posted everything they did, for example cigarettes and alcohol, they subliminally overshadow young people’s minds.
In conclusion, despite some advantages of prominent influencers, it is still not beneficial development among people.
