It’s a common belief that the crime rate is reduced because development technology systems can prevent and solve crime easier.I partly agree with this view
On the one hand,advances in technology play an important role in fall rate crime. Indeed, a wide range of cameras were in public places, namely: markets. factories, restaurants, banks,… and GPS, which was followed the mark of transport was used largely by residents
These ways allow policies to catch crime easily. Moreover, with development in medical devices as DNA analyst help police solve crime quickly and accurately, As the result, crime are more likely to be caught, which can reduce crime rate several time.,
On the other hand, developing technology systems lead to new types of crime, who knows cybercrime such as online fraud through online platforms namely facebook, Telegram, Instagram,… These crimes are difficult to control and impact a large number of people. In addition, advances in technology lead to a wide range of jobs becoming automated and replaced by AI or robots, so more people are unemployed, which is one of the main causes of crime. In conclusion, technology can’t address the main cause of crime. Crime is likely to continue despite technological progress.
In my opinion, technological advances can help reduce forms of crimes. it is also can make new type of crime, It only solving when technology effect knowledge and social support, which reduce cause of crime
