The graph represents the varying production levels of the vital fuels in the UK between 1981 and 2000.
We can see the sudden rise of natural gas production from year 1991 ie.e., 60 energy units, and it further increases to 80 and 100 in the years 1996 and 2000 respectively. In the initial years the productivity was somewhere around 40 for both the years 1981 and 1986.
Energy units of petroleum abruptly increase from 90 to 140 units from year 1981-1986 whereas, production of coal decreases from 80 units to 40 units in the similar years. In the following years we can see downfall in the production of coal, which continues to decline from 60 energy units to 30 between 1991 and 2000.
The graph of Petroleum production seems to be fluctuating. In comparison with the previous years ie 1986 we can see the units lowered to 100 in 1991 & it again takes the boost from 1996 to 2000.
Observing all the main fuel production we can see that natural gas production seems to be neutral and increasing in further upcoming years, whereas coal faces major decline in comparison to petroleum which differs but is increasing in further years.
