The advent of the internet has made information more accessible and made a contribution to the revolution in communication, sparking a concern over its negative impact. While this trend undoubtedly offers certain benefits, I firmly believe that detrimental problems arising out of this trend should not be marginalized
Certainly, proponents of this trend often emphasize two primary advantages. One of these is the more efficient communication.Face-to-face calls, instant messaging have made it faster to exchange information with others. They have broken down the geographical barriers, allowing people from far distance to connect instantly .Additionally, the internet provide plethora sources of information which is accessible to all and they can get them with only a click instead of spending hours going to the library.
However, the mentioned benefits above are subject to doubt. Concerning the abundant sources of information on the internet, people can get overwhelmed due to the fake news or unconfirmed knowledge leading to the spread of misinformation and even the real-life consequences.Regarding the indirect communication, the dependence on the internet to communicate to others can lead to the decline of physical interaction, thereby exacerbate the social isolation.
In conclusion, while this progress presents undeniable advantages in terms of communication and information.I am convinced that these are outweighed by the demerits associated with the reduction in physical interaction and misinformation.
