The line chart is statistical representation of the variability in the proportion of Australian trade with four nations. At first glance, it can be seen that the China has the highest percentage from 1990 to 2012.
After analysis, it can be clearly observed that the figure of Japan has rapidly increased between 1990 and 2012 , starting at Japan was approximately 25%, it then dropped significantly to around 20% in 1995 to 2005. Moreover, the US was trading with Australia almost 10% in 1990, and fluctuating trend during the period 1995 to 2012 and this line intersects with India at the end of the year.
According to the graph, China has trended upward in 2012, and this line intersects with the US and Japan and it peaked at nearly 30% in 2012. Additionally, India was consistently 4% from 1990 to 2000, it then increased quite a bit to around 5% in 2005, and 6% in 2010, also it is slightly reduced around 2% at the end of the year.
Overall, Australia has highest trade with China and in contrast, lowest trade with India.
