Both documents are charts that represent the importation in New zealand, neither by Australia nor by Japan from 1994 till 2004.

Overall, New Zealand imports fluctuate a lot. Both country that were exporting good in New Zealand were exporting the same amount of product. However in the begining of the 21th century, New Zealand import moneys from japan considerably decline while australia exportations were dramatically rising.

First of all, the period between 1994 and 2000 was quite similar for both country. Indeed the amount of money for import product in New zealand flucuate and experienced like a wave by sawing similar dip and increase. For instance between 1994 and 1995, the amount of importations has go up by 2500 millions of NZ$ for Australia and by roughly 3000 millions for Japan. Therefore, they both reached slightly less than 6500 millions.

However, they are big changes after the year 2000: Both country saw a decline of their exportations in New Zealand. Altough import of autralia achieve to climb again just after the year 2002, import from Japan continued to gradually go down until 2004 when they reached 2000 millions of NZ$ whereas Australia was exporting even more than before : around 8000 millions of imported goods.
