Band 5+: The values that we learn from our parents and family have a greater influence on our future success than the knowledge and skills we learn at school. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

It is often argued that abilities and knowledge of children which given by family is better than learned from teachers. I completely disagree with this statement because many parents work as full-time worker, effect of it they may have no time to their children. Moreover, teachers have more experience to teach.

One reason why I disagree with this view is that learning from parents is better way for influence to students’ goals. This is because in today’s world earning money is the main mission of every family so that all parents are on work during the all day. Becouse of it they will have problem as lack of time to illustrate something to their child. For example, my all of family will be work as full-time worker and they come at home at 10pm, and in this time I will have slept. As a result, children as me cannot see their family properly, not to mention the learning. However, if family has old people as grandparents, it would be great way to learning useful things.

Another benefit of learning thing from teachers rather than family is of course teachers have a good deal of experience at working with students. In other words, during his or her career they have to work with a lot of students and they understand students’ feelings, challenging topics and even what they want. For instance, my teacher understand myself even better than me. Therefore, he gives me many advantageous advises due to my abilities. Consequently, students can rely on their tutors as they trust mountain.

In conclusion, some people consider learning from family advantageous, however, I still believe that it is not since teachers have more experience and methods to teaching rather than parents.
