A lot of things such as job satisfaction , salary or the opportunity to help others can inspire people to do their best in their work. I personally believe that a good environment and promotion make the best motivation to perform well at work.
A good environment can significantly improve workers’ performance. The main reason is that environment plays a crucial role in the workplace. It can affect employees either negatively with discouraging colleagues and unsuitable working schedules, or positively with fellow workers who are inspiring and supporting each other, and a work timetable that is suitable for everyone. Inspiration, support and a good plan is crucial for staff’s performance. For instance, Google company has recently created a work environment including an extremely decent work program and encouraging staff to work harder. As a result, company witnessed a great growth in its workers’ performance and attitude towards work.
Furthermore, promotion to a higher position can also be motivating to fare well. This is because a person who has moved to a more important job, feels greater responsibility for his job. Consequently, they would try to achieve high performance in order to their bosses’ expectations and remain in that rank. To illustrate this point, a recent study indicated that most managers constantly tried as hard as they could and felt more pressure due to the fact that they do not want to dash their directors’ hopes and want to be in that position longer.
