In recent years, the phenomenon of leaving the hometown, and traveling to another country, has significantly increased, especially among youths. Although this trend has some threats, I believe that its positive effects are far greater.
To begin with, the first disadvantage that persons suffer from is that living alone and being far away from families and friends for a couple of years will cause feelings of loneliness and isolation. When a youth moves to a Gulf country or to Europe to study for their bachelor’s or master’s degree, it will be so difficult for them to exist during important events, whether happy or sad ones, with their parents and siblings. For instance, Syrian youths who move to Germany, have to stay there for almost 10 years to take the nationality without any visit to their home. The second drawback is that the result of this issue on countries is noticeable. If a large number of boys and girls work in different locations, countries will suffer from losing the most productive category in society. For example, Syria has had a problem in the last 15 years in which a large number of doctors chose to work abroad.
On the other hand, the positive impacts of this trend shall be considered. Firstly, when a person works abroad, this will provide great financial support for their families. As well as this will increase their experience in the best way ever. Moreover, after going back they will have enough ability to open new businesses in their countries, thus, new job opportunities. To illustrate this, famous Syrian businessmen launched cutting-edge projects in Syria to improve it more.
To conclude, the number of persons who choose to live in a different location alone either for study or work has grown up considerably. Regardless of the bad influences of such a decision, my opinion is that the good impacts of it on person and society are more.
