In recent years, Eating a non-nutritious diet has become one of the serious issues worldwide. While there are several factors contributing to this trend, I do believe it can lead to a number of harmful consequences.
One major reason why unhealthy meals like fast food has become an integral part of people’s lives is that it helps them to save their valuable time. That is to say, many individuals ,in particular, those who have busy schedules always either eat junk food or sugary products such as chocolate, cookies in order to complete their projects in time. To illustrate, 36 per cent of adults in the United States consume fast food every single day since they aim to finish their tasks in time.
Additionally, psychological manipulation negatively affects children’s eating habits. Junk food industries started to advertise their meals with colorful illustrations and toys which demonstrates fast food tastes far better than nutritious meals. Consequently, children possibly refuse to eat nutritient-dense dishes after influenced by these advertisements.
That said, I am convinced that overeating can give rise to dire consequences. Firstly, Eating unhealthily more likely to mean excessive calorie intake which results in serious physical health problems such as obesity, heart diseases . According to researches, many individuals in the United States suffer from chronic illnesses due to inappropriate eating habits of theirs. Secondly, quickly available meals’ and snack packages produces enormous amount of waste to the ecosystem; that can lead to environmental pollution and several other ecological problems in the long run.
To conclude, poor eating habits is the main result of marketing and limited time. However, it is better to have a balanced approach; otherwise, it can give rise to several diet-related illnesses and environmental issues.
