Nowadays, many people are talking about remote work because of new technology. Some people say that because everyone can work from home, traditional city centers and offices will disappear in the future. But other people think that physical offices are very important for people to meet and grow in their job. In my opinion, I think offices are important but remote work is also good.
On the one hand, working from home has many benefits for workers. People do not need to travel to the office every day, so they can save a lot of time and money on bus or train tickets. Also, they can spend more time with their family and children. Because of this, companies do not need big offices in the center of the city. If there are no offices, the city center will become empty and traditional offices will close down because nobody is going there.
On the other hand, physical workspaces are very necessary for people. When you work in a real office, you can talk to your colleagues face to face. This is good for social cohesion because humans need to make friends. If you only stay at home and look at a computer screen all day, you will feel very lonely and sad. Also, for professional growth, young workers can learn many things from their boss and older managers by watching them work. This is very difficult to do online.
In conclusion, remote work is changing our life and making cities different. However, I believe that offices will not disappear completely because people need to socialize and grow their careers together.
