It has been observed that AI-powered tracking systems are now being applied in many corporations to gurantee the productivity of their employees. Opinions are divided on whether this brings more advantages than disadvantages. After closely examining both views, I would conclude that this innovation is totally advantageous.
On the one hand, it is undeniable that there are several existing drawbacks related to this trend. Firstly, if the system is not organized carefully, it might also collect workers’ private data. As a result, their privacy will be violented; and their information might be used for bad purposes. Secondly, employees might feel under pressure when their work are monitered on a regular basis. Therefore, they could not do their job effectively; and this situation would cause a counterproductive result to their primary aim of improving the productivity. Considering this, it is justifiable why many people assume that AI-monitoring networks should not be used in working environment.
However, I would side with the idea of applying this modern tracking setup would bring more benefits. The main supporting reason is that this system would help to boost workers’ productivity by posing them under the reliable warden. Consequently, staffs could raise their awareness, and they will do their job more carefully in response. Besides, this change could also help companies to save up a lot of money by varous ways. For instance, they will not need to hire lots of staffs when tasks are effectively done by a small group monitored by machine. Additionally, corporations could be well operated as people who did not complete their KPI goals will be eliminated.
On the whole, while there are some minor drawbacks, the appliance of AI-tracking technology would bring more potential benefits by enhancing employees’ working awareness, and saving budgets of many companies.
