Young people are forced to become perfect in their academics and leave all other extracurriculars behind; so they can give their complete focus to studies. This essay disagrees with the opinion mentioned above because of multiple reasons. That being said, some youngsters are naturally talented in things other than studies while others who are good in studies can do different activities for the peace of their minds.
The young people should not be pressurised in doing something they find difficult or frustrating. Instead, they should be left free of choice to figure out their natural talents that they can pursue in the future to be successful. For example, an alumni from my college did Law, but he could not pursue this degree. However, he found his hidden talent of doing stand-up comedy and now he has been nominated in the national awards.
Similarly, there are some people who are extraordinary in their academics. Most of them work hard day and night to get good grades and results. Nevertheless, they should go out and do stuff other than just studying. Otherwise, they will be mentally exhausted from doing the same thing over and over again. In worst cases, if they are pressurised to do good academically, they can get mentally unstable. Keeping this in view, these young minds should do other activities as a break or as a relaxation from studies.
In my opinion, this is their prime time and they can shine only if they are not forced by any means. Being good academically is great, but physical education and extracurriculars are also important in making them healthy and successful,
