In many contries the governemnt proovides finacial help to people who cannot find a jobb. Some people believe that these individuals should haveto do community servicce or voluntary work inn exchange for this money. In my opinion, I agree with this idea becasue it helps the communiy the job seekers themselves.
Firstly, doing voluntary work is a great way for job seekers to learn new skills. If someone has been out of work for a long time they might lose their confidence or forget how to work in a professiona; environment. By helping out at a local library, a park, or chairty shop, they can keep their skills fresh. This makes it much easier for them to find a permanent jo in the future because they have recent experience to put on ttheir CV.
Secondly, it is fair for to the taxpayers who provide the money for governemnt benefits. When people work together to clean up neighborhoods or help the elderly, the whole community becomes a better place to live. It creates a sense of blance a better place to live. It creaesa s ense og balance where everyone is contributing something. Instead of just siting at home job seekers can feel proud that they are helping others while they look for a new career.
However, the governemnt must be c areful not to make the wokr too difficult. The main goal for these people should still be finding a full time job. Therefore, the voluntary work should only take up a few hours a week so they still have enough time to go to interviews and write applications.
In conclusion, i believe thata sking long-term job seekers to do some voluntary work is a positive thing. It helps them gain experience, stay active, and give back to the society that is supporting them.
