However, the internet does not always directly cause isolation. In fact, it can promote connection and social interaction. While it is true that excessive use of the internet, especially social media, can sometimes contribute to feelings of loneliness or isolation, the internet, when used in a balanced way, offers numerous opportunities for communication, collaboration, and community building.
Therefore, I lean towards the idea that the internet has a positive influence on making people closer. In my opinion, by using some social media platforms, humans are capable of creating better connections not only with their immediate social circles but also with individuals living far away. In these days, creating a Telegram group is becoming a common trend among adults, as they can communicate with their friends on a daily basis regardless of the distance. This, on the other hand, fosters online communities and helps prevent isolation.
