It is believed that only governments should take responsibility for environmental protection, and it is not personal obligation as they can not do too much. While there are some benefits to this practice, I partly disagree with this notion due to the risk it presents.
On the other hand, it is true that the politicians have enough abilities to find the most effective solutions to tackle these environmental issues. The reason for this is they have special equipment to analyze huge amounts of data about the reason causing environmental pollution. They also have sufficient funds and resources to protect our nature. The second reason for this is they have the rights to impose severe penalties on organizations or individuals which are damaging the environment. For instance, many industrial parks and factories have been punished by politicians for polluting nature.
However, I also believe that this is not only the obligation of politicians, individuals and everyone should also raise their own awareness about protecting the environment. The main reason for global warming is human consciousness. Therefore, to reduce this phenomenon, we should start using renewable energy, avoiding exploiting nature and burning forests.
In conclusion, in my opinion, politicians cannot protect the environment alone, so we as individuals should also contribute to prevent nature from being destroyed.
