You did not remember about the bag until you got to your hotel. Write a letter to the airline. Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to report a cabin bag that I inadvertently left on board flight SQ 341 from Lagos to Paris on 15th April 2025. Upon arrival at Charles de Gaulle Airport, I was in a hurry to catch my connecting flight to London and, regrettably, forgot to retrieve my bag from the overhead compartment. I only realised this oversight upon reaching my hotel in London, at which point it was no longer feasible to return to the airport and recover the item personally.

The missing bag is a compact brown leather trolley with a distinctive blue tag displaying my name and contact information. It contains essential business documents with original signatures, for which I do not possess duplicates, along with a set of clothes packed specifically for the flight. Additionally, the bag holds a pair of Sony noise-cancelling headphones and a Samsung phone charger.

I kindly request that your team coordinate with the lost and found department and cabin crew to locate my bag at the earliest convenience. Given the urgency of the matter, I would appreciate an update on its status via email at charles.johnson@email.com or by phone at +44 7890 123456. If found, I would prefer the bag to be securely shipped to my London hotel, or I can arrange for a courier service to collect it from your designated office.
