Using technology is common practice worldwide. Many individuals have become dependent on modern technology because technology plays a major role in people’s daily lives. I vehemently agree with the statement that living in a high-tech world has more benefits compared to drawbacks. In the following paragraphs, I will explore both advantages and disadvantages and present my viewpoint.
First and foremost, there are many advantages to the latest computer age. One of the important benefits is easy access to information. In the modern world, getting information about anything is quite pice of cake through the use of technology. For example, people can get any data or information through technology—mobile, computer, and so on. In addition, cutting-edge technology provides a fast communication process; by using modern devices and the internet, people can connect with anyone from anywhere through the blessing of state-of-the-art technology in the modern period. Not only that, people also have become dependent on technology for their work lives; nowadays, employees can do their jobs from home and in any situation, so that work is less stressful and the outcomes have shown tremendous performance.
In stark contrast, there are some ways to misuse this blessing. In other words, technology has reached such heights that people may encounter atrocious outcomes. If individuals become fully dependent on technology, then it may harm people’s personal security. The reason is that there is a high possibility of individuals’ confidential data being hacked and published via technology. Moreover, people are getting so lazy and are leading sedentary lives in this modern age; easily, without going outside, people can get food or medicine through online services, which demotivates people to go outside of the house physically, and boosts people’s laziness. Furthermore, the spread of misinformation is also the biggest drawback of this technology. If people completely become dependent on IT, and absorb misinformation from the internet, it will create huge problems and will make the situation messy.
To put an end to this discussion, I believe that depending on technology can widely help us to lead our daily lives—rapid communication systems, availability of information, working from remote places, and so on. And these facilities are more fruitful than minor problems.
