The two plans illustrate changes made to the City Library. These changes are shown over the ten-year period starting in 2004.
Overall, during this period, the basic layout of the library remained the same, but there were several significant alterations to the interior of the building.
In the northern part of the library, in 2004, General Collection consisted of four sections: Fiction, Non-fiction, Children’s, and Magazines. However, in 2014, a new section, Movies and Computer Games, was added. In 2014, Academic Journals joined Reference Room, which became larger. Also, a new facility, such as Outdoor Performance Area, was built next to Reference Room and Academic Journals.
In terms of the southern part of the library, in 2014, there were also several changes. Art Gallery and Gift Store were combined together and were replaced by Computer and Media Room. However, they took the former space of Academic Journals. Moreover, a new section, Café, was created between Outdoor Performance Area and currently combined Art Gallery and Gift Store.
