Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, a good many people react against the government investing money on the arts. They argue that money should be allocated to improve urgent problems such as public services and facilities. However, this is merely a short-term provision since the arts can bring numerous benefits towards the mass, which is not necessary at the expense of any other sectors.

Art plays an important role in human’s life. Pieces of art can convey the beauty of history, everyday life, of human, and of subjects in an unique way. Artists can express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences in their pieces of work, even though they can not articulate those things. Through the products, people who have the same experiences and points of view can connect with each other. There are many clear evidences of art’s powerful impact. For instance, writing and painting can treat people for depressions.

Therefore, it is worthy to allot more funding to the arts. A country which possesses a bountiful legacy of art pieces entices more visitors and enhance its people life quality. The funding encourages the preservation of valuable works and encourage the development of the field. While on the surface, art is not an effective business, well-know artists can sell their pieces for lump sum. More notably, arts is instrumental in raising charitable fundings. As a piece of art can be for sale and generate money in a bidding and the bidders will exchange their money for a piece of art.

Although a decent amount of funding is dedicated to the arts, the government should invest their budget for appropriately in order not to sacrifice one sectors for others. Furthermore, to raise people’s awareness of art, the authorities should put into effects plans to integrate pieces of art to daily life, which does not only promote the art works but also foster more accepting attitudes towards this mean of entertainment.

In conclusion, the lack of interest in art of people may provoke the government into cutting back on its subsidies. The dearth of attention and resources will thwart the growth of an important sector and decrease a sole sources of funding for charities. To tackle this problem, the government need to clarify its art-related expenditures and the incentives behind.
