Intro: The assertion that business meetings and courses are significantly holding online is a considerable debate. In one aspect this approach improves the flexibility and is economic. In another hand, the efficiency of these meetings is not acceptable. In the following, I will discuss both advantages and disadvantages of this type of meetings.
Body 1: By a cursory look, online platforms are always in reah. Most of them are free and can provide a broad range of communications by call, video call, messenger, emoji, and video-conference. This facilitates the business meetings and also the international collaborations. These types of long distance communications have advanced the international trades and also removed many barriers and laws. Thus, many meetings are held through shadows. For instance, Iran, despite of various sanctions that is faced, could increase its international trades to over 43% by 2024. Moreover, by online platforms, the number of meetings increase during the day. Since, clercks and managers can participate in various sessions and save their time. The Japan government also declared that they mitigated and managed the traffic jam, during the working days, via providing free online platforms and internet for companies. They believed that this approach could discourage companies to hold physical meetings.
Body 2: Although we have to acknowledge online meetings for their flexibility and convenient, these advantages come at the cost of lowering the efficiency. We are witnessing that several participants disable their microphone and webcam, which directly reduces the productivity of meetings. Additionally, many under-developed countries and remote places face the lack of proper internet infrastructures. Thus, people cannot effectively join the online meetings.
Conclusion: As a conclusion, holding online meetings and trainings consume less time and cost. Nevertheless, they have unacceptable productivity and furthermore many countries have not suitable infrastructure for remote communications. Thus, both aspects, positive and negative, equally exists about holding online meetings.
