The supplied table provides data about the proportion of staff employed for six diverse industries namely; Manafacturing, Retail, Health care, Construction, Eductaion and Tourism in 1989 and 2009.
Overall, biggest proportion of workers employed in the category of “Manafacturing” for the first year, while this is true for “Health care” category in the second year. The lowest figures could be seen in “Tourism” for both years.
In terms of manafacturing, it comprised 15% and decreased to 9.8% in 2009. Figures for retail and healthcare exhibited reverse experience that retail saw a downward trend from 11.8% to 10.1%, whereas health care rose by 1.7% to hit 11.3% in 2009.
Other three industries showed an upward trend. Figures for construction, education and trousim, all rose by 0.7% to hit 8.3%, 7.5% and 7.3%, respectively.
