Another point to consider is the space wich most of the old buildings take. Before there was not any proplem related to overpopulation, but now modern convenient multie storey buildings or towers maybe the best solution to overcome this problem.
In my opinion, historical buildings and old houses add great charm to any city. It keeps the identy and the heritage of the city to the future generations. So keeping as much buildings as we can and maintaing them is a priority to keep their beauty alive.
