It contributes the dependence to receiving quick dopamine hits from fast content, which reduces people’s ability to focus on long-term tasks that require patience and concentration. For instance , According to the Pew Research Center, 54% of adolescents in the United States would find it difficult to give up social media. As a consequence, individuals find it increasingly exhausting to complete ordinary daily activities, as their brains constantly seek instant stimulation.
Another major problem caused by modern technologies is unhealthy sleeping habits. Many people ,especially teenagers suffer from insomnia due to staying up late checking notifications and browsing social media. According to statistics, each extra hour of screen use in bed is linked to 59% higher risk of insomnia and about 24 minutes less sleep per night. This habit delays falling asleep and trains the brain to expect stimulation at times when it should be winding down, reducing the ability to rest properly.
