The discussion surrounding whether university students should bear all cost of their studies due to its benefits only for them, have sparked debate between two sides of dispute. However,I firmly disagree with the statement that univeristy students have to pay all their studying cost.
Firstly, there are many benefits beyond the individual when society invest in tertiary education. It is found that university edication is involved in economic growth. This is because most of graduates have higher wages and are more productive cell of society when dedicating in firms, increasing innovation in community development then improving social wellfare.Furthermore,a basic university degree has become a basic requirement for most companies in their recruiting process. This will go some way toward reducing crimimal rate as root becaue students who not entered the workforce are at the risk of resorting to negative ways for finacial supports. For instances some student struggling financially may turns to illegal means such as participating tin telecommunication fraund to cover their life expenses. Some statics show that the higher university enrollment is,the fewer crimes are, which is a positive effect of tuition fee subsidies on ensuring social security.
Furthermore,it is important to realize the importance of access to advanced education for students in disadvantaged backgrounds, university fees can be a barrier to university for those and prevent them from advanced education despite their potential to society. If their finacial burdens are eased, their effort and time can be diverted to communities project such as volunteering.Such projects may contribute to helping underprivileged people. For example, many universities in VietNam have voluntary club to help impoverished families in remote areas renovate their house. If grants, bursaries and scholarships were to be dispensed, collegues would spend their time struggling with life expanses rather than take part in such activities to help surrounding people.
To sum up,providing economic subsidies for tetiary education does not only benefit students themselves but also community thanks to the decline in criminal rates, economic development and students participation in voluntary activities.
