There is no denying the fact that public transportation in a city is crucial for people who do not have a vehicle, while it is a commonly held belief that transport needs to have fees, there is also an argument that opposes it , in my opinion I consider that this latter needs to be free , and that’s what we will discuss in the next couple of points .
To begin with , transport is a bit overpriced and should be free for everyone, in other words it needs to be free especially for low income workers and students , so they can keep at least their pocket money and not spend it on transport .For instance many countries followed this strategy and came back with positive results in various domains .
Another point to consider , is by making free transport that will help to reduce social gaps between people , because transport is a right for all citizens and not a type of luxury as most of the residents see it , and does not reflect any social status , moreover we can take the example of elon musk , the CEO of tesla , he does not have a car not due to fiancial limitations but because he does not need one .
In conclusion , although opinions on this issue may differ on this subject , I firmly believe that public transport needs to be free for all citizens not just to ease people’s life, but to improve their social and economic daily life .
