The percentage of men using online media every day exhibited a significant rise from 25% to 45%, whereas the figure for never using it dropped from 44% to 30% from 2011 to 2014. Another less significant change can be observed in the percentages of using it a few times a week and once a week, from 19% to 16% and 12% to 9%, respectively.
In contrast, the figure for everyday female usage showed the highest increase among other categories, from 30% to 59%. This was followed by the users who never used it, starting at just 8% in 2011 and rising to 22% in 2014. Additionally, the proportion of women using social media once a week witnessed a considerable drop from 39% to just 10%, and the percentage for using it a few times a week showed another significant decrease from 22% to 9%.
