Several people claim that knowing many languages, particularly foreign ones, is only useful for traveling to another country and working; however, others argue that learning a second language has other benefits. In this essay, I will discuss both sides.
On the one hand, nowadays, knowing many languages is useful, especially if you are planning to travel abroad or work in another country; even if you do not have any plan to travel abroad or work abroad, it also has some benefits. For instance, you can still be a teacher of teaching other languages, which earns more money. Nowadays, knowing seven languages is not easy; languages play a vital role in the whole world. Although some people believe it is not necessary, it is enough to know your mother language.
On the other hand, other people argue that it has other perspectives on knowing a second language. Generally, languages play an essential role nowadays. Thanks for knowig second language is also useful, for instance, you can easily apply for you’re dream university or even occupation, also you can pass international exams like IELTS, SAT, TOEFL which take a lot of competition, thanks for those exams people are earning a huge number of money, some people earn because of teaching how to prepare others just taking money, because others paying for passing those tests. Despite that, you can be a polyglot who knows several languages. Personally, for me, learning a language will open a lot of opportunities in the future, especially
English, Chinese, French, Arabic.
