Dear Accommodation Officer,
I am writing to bring to your attention several issues I have encountered with my current living situation in the college dormitory. I reside in room 24B, which I share with another student. While I understand the benefits of communal living, the challenges we are facing have significantly impacted my ability to study and maintain my academic performance.
Firstly, our room is exceedingly small for two people, leaving us with little personal space and no quiet corner to focus on our studies. My roommate and I have different study schedules, and the cramped quarters make it nearly impossible for either of us to work without disturbing the other. Additionally, our room is adjacent to the communal kitchen, and the noise levels, especially during evenings, are highly disruptive.
Moreover, there seems to be a persistent issue with the heating system in our room, making it exceedingly cold at night. This, combined with the inadequate lighting provided, creates an environment that is far from conducive to studying or even resting properly.
Given these circumstances, it has become increasingly difficult for me to concentrate on my coursework and prepare for my exams. The stress of the living situation is affecting not only my academic performance but also my well-being.
Therefore, I kindly request a change in accommodation. Ideally, I would prefer a single room where I could have some privacy and control over my study environment. A quieter location, away from the communal areas, would also be highly appreciated. I believe that such an arrangement would greatly enhance my ability to study effectively and improve my overall college experience.
I understand the limitations and demands on college accommodation, but I hope that you will consider my request sympathetically and assist me in finding a more suitable living arrangement.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.
Yours sincerely,Gitanjali Patil
