The given bar graph provides the distances every person travelled every week in kilometers with bicycles, motorbikes, planes, busses, and trains in
the UK in 1990 and 2000. Overall, it can be clearly seen that the highest distances were for bus and rail. On the other hand, distances travelled by bicycle, motorbike, and air were the lowest.
The distance travelled by bus was the greatest, which stood at about 40 km in 1990. This figure increased slightly by 2000, where it climbed to around 45 km. In regard to rail, it started at nearly 35 km in 1990 and there was a marginal growth to almost 38 km by 2000.
On the other hand, the smallest distances were travelled by bicycles, motorbikes, and planes. In terms of bicycles, in 1990, the distance was nearly 3 km and in 2000, it decreased minimally by 2 km. Regarding motorbikes, the numbers were similar in both years. Looking at distances travelled by planes, there was a slight rise from approximately 1km to 4km throughout the period. Lastly, total figures for distances were exactly 100 km and just about 110 km in 1990 and 2000 respectively.
