It is widely contended that economically strong countries should assist wider range of refugees and fulfill their basic needs such as shelter and daily basic needs. I completely support the idea that governments should help asylum seekers and initially give them a chance to survive.
Mainly, I am of opinion that refugees are the essential part of economy of developed coutries, as they compensate low-paid job shortages. Presently, in wealthy states citizens are paid high salaries. Therefore, low-income working places, such as cleaning, delivery, driving and loading, remain vacant since the locals are unwilling to be hired in such jobs. As a result, work shortages are automatically solved and both refugees and governments are in an advatageous condition. For example, European countries have already adopted similar policies and this strategy has already solved some part of the issue. The European Union intends to continue the mentioned approach in the near future.
Moreover, the population growth in wealthy coutries is decreasing and this problem for governments is making into the forefront. For this reason, the support of growth sustainability can be achieved by bigger number of refugee arrival, especially, the ones who have the potential to succeed in their industry. For instance, some European educational esstablishments are taking the risk and giving a chance to talanted refugees to establish their career in selected sphere and get future they dreamed about by also bringing benefits to hosting country.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that developed coutries not only should accept more asylum seekers for filling labour scarcity, but also for the chance of having successful residents for the county’s future development.
