Overall, while auto private insurance policies had the biggest share at 35%, other insurance policies encompassed only 6% of the total. Meanwhile, out of all the given countries, England possessed the highest private insurance ownership among all three categories.
Auto and health insurance policies were encompassing 35% and 31% of the global allocation of private insurance policies, respectively. Life and other insurance policies, conversely, were less dominant with just 28% and 6%, respectively.
While a quarter of the England population had insurance, only 7% of Indian citizens had one. Moreover, in all 3 categories – auto, health, and life – England had significantly higher ownership rates than any other given countries, at 10%, 7.9%, and 5.7% respectively. In India, health insurance at 3.5% and life insurance at 1.7% were relatively higher than those of Australia, at 1.3% and 0.5%, respectively; however, 15% of the Australian population had insurance, while in India this figure was only 7%.
