It is argued by some people that parents should supervise their children’s activities closely, while others believe children should have more freedom. Although, supervising children’s activities can bring certain advantages, i firmly believe that children should have more freedom due to several reasons.
On the one hand, supervising children can offer some merits, especially in terms of personal development. The major benefit is that it can protect children from danger. This is because they are still developing emotionally, so children can be attracted easily by the alurement from the society. Therefore, they may be deceived from others, leading to some losses such as money or valuable stuffs and even life-threatening dangers. As a result, parents with the close track, who are experienced, can prevent all things that can harm to children and raise children’s awareness to avoid mistakes again. Another benefit is that monitoring children closely can form the discipline for them. This is because children have to follow the healthy habits from parents. As a result, it can facilitate children to get into the habits of healthy habits in the long term, leading to the long-term health development. Therefore, it acts as the long-term driving forces for not only improving their mindset and health, but also enable them to adapt the disciplined environment, which can be useful for them in the future.
On the other hand, the benefits of children have more freedom are far more significant. The foremost argument to support my view is that it allows children to open up themselves. Indeed, unlike following the desire of parents, children can develop their creativity and independence. As a result, it can help children to develop decision-making and problem-solving, which can be useful for them in their career. They can find their passion themselves, which can motivate them to make more efforts on working and studying to achieve their goal. Thus, this can lead to the promotion on their career path, leading to the financial security for their households. Another reason is that the freedom can bring the joy for children. This is because the close scruitiny can bring the sense of harness to children, leading to the stressful and anxiety. This can result in the health dangers, alleviating the confidence of children and discouraging children to discover new path. Therefore, freedom can lead to the joy, encouraging them to step out of the comfort zone and leading to the enhanced working results.
In conclusion, although close supervision can protect children and form them disciplined habits, the positive impacts on personal development of freedom are far more significant. I firmly believe that developing children’s career independently, as long as it is legal and is beneficial for children, is the best way to support children in the long term.
