The maps show changes from 2007 and 2012 in Stratford to be prepared for London Olympic games in 2012. Overall, the city underwent remarkable developments over the time period. The most significant change is that the city became more facilitated for the 2012 London Olympic games by constructing Olympic facilities in both north and south areas.
Shopping center and train station in the north and houses in the northwest remained unchanged. However, in 2012, a path between train station to the south of the river lea was made. Also, in 2012, an aquatics center was made in the northeast. In the west side, a velodrome and a basketball area was constructed, which was connected to a riverbank area.
On the other hand, everything had changed in the south of the river lea. In the southwest where the riverbank area stands, there used to be a wasteland. In 2007, factories were in the southeast and warehouses to the north of it, but both were replaced by an Olympic stadium, which is connected to the riverbank area by the London walk. Also a new Olympic park was set up between Olympic stadium and riverbank area.
