Nowadays, many large companies sponsor sports events to market their products. While some people believe that this business practice harms sports. I disagree with this trend because corporate backing brings essential financial support to sports organizations.
On the one hand, there are a few reasons why commercial sponsorship might have a negative impact. Firstly, sports events can become too commercialized. When big companies invest money, they often focus more on profits and advertising rather than the game itself. For example, athletes are sometimes required to wear clothes with bright logos or participate in commercials, which can distract them from training. In addition, some sponsors sell fast food or sugary drinks during matches and this sets a bad example for young sports fans.
On the other hand, the financial benefits of sponsorship are extremely important for modern sports. Organizing major tournaments requires a lot of money for build-up, modern equipment and stadium security. Without funding from large corporations, many sports associations would struggle to host international events. Furthermore, this money often used to help young players from poor backgrounds by providing them with training facilities. Therefore, sponsorship actually helps sports to grow globally.
In conclusion, although commercial advertisements can sometimes distract people from sports, I believe that company sponsorship is actually beneficial. It provides the necessary funding to hold high-quality events. And of course support young players around the world.
