In many countries, people are increasingly choosing ready-made meals instead of cooking at home with fresh ingredients. Although this trend has some disadvantages, I believe that its advantages outweigh them.
One major advantage of ready-made meals is that they save people a considerable amount of time. Nowadays, many individuals have busy work schedules and do not have enough time to go grocery shopping and prepare meals at home. For example, employees who work long hours and spend a significant amount of time commuting may arrive home feeling exhausted. In this situation, buying a ready-made meal is a convenient alternative to spending another hour preparing dinner. Another advantage is that ready-made meals are often affordable and easily accessible, particularly when they are sold near workplaces or residential areas. As a result, people can obtain food quickly without having to spend much time cooking.
However, this trend can also have negative effects on people’s health. Some ready-made meals contain high levels of salt, sugar and fat, which may contribute to weight gain and other health problems if they are consumed regularly. In addition, consumers may not know exactly how much of each ingredient is used in these meals. Nevertheless, this problem can be reduced if people choose healthier options and control their portion sizes.
In conclusion, although ready-made meals can have negative effects on health, I believe that their advantages outweigh the disadvantages. They provide a convenient, affordable and time-saving option for people with busy lifestyles, while the health risks can be reduced through healthier choices and moderate consumption.
