The table illustrate data about the number of employees in six industries, which are Manufacturing, Retail, Health care, Construction, Education, and Tourism over a 20-year period, starting 1989.
Overall, it can be seen that the employees of manufacturing and retails are decreased over the period, whereas in all other given industries workers are increased.
Looking at the data set it is evident that the manufacturing industries are experienced over 5% loss of their employees in 2009, which was 15% in 1989 . In Retail, the percentage of workers slightly fell from 11.8 in 1989 to 10.1 in 2009.
Turning to the remaining data set , it is clear that the percentage of employees in Healthcare increased from 9.6% in 1989 to 11.3% in 2009.In Construction industries, employees are minimally grew from 7.6% in 1989 to 8.3% in 2009.Furthermore, education and tourism the percentage of workforce increased from 6.8 to 7.5 and 5.5 to 7.3 respectively.
Finally manufacturing industry employed the highest number of people in 1989 and Health Care employed the highest number of people in 2009. In both these years, Tourism contains the less number of workers.
