It is said that governments should concentrate in production of goods because it is most valued segment of the economy. While in my honest opinion other aspects of politics as green finance need more attention.
There is no necessity in any goods when there is a lack of consumption itself. The economy and people’s financial well-being are key parts that demand stability and constant development. One can read in the literature related to economy theory, for example “How rich countries become rich”, that there were states in the past that chose the direction of production and supported business representatives rather than increase salaries of their citizens or suggest them other sources of income. Following that, mentioned situation led to bankruptcy of firms and the crises of economies.
Moreover, even if it is crucial for governments to organize its own independent production and also comfortable business atmosphere, one cannot deny that factories and machines bring pollution to the environment and impact negatively on the animal diversity. For instance, gases, garbage and chemical wastes severely influence people’s heaths and nature. Not to mention that because of overconsumption of the marine life and usage of dangerous techniques for fishing we now have a lack of several species like yellow dolphins and blue sharks (from the YouTube videos).
Overall, people have serious discussions regarding the necessity of production materials and goods as the main direction of countries politics. I believe that it is important to emphasize individuals’ well-being and develop production techniques which are safe for the environment.
