In recent years, people have started shifting towards metropolitan cities for job opportunities and employment. Although, according to few people this shift has caused many health issues. The further essay will discuss the problems faced by people in developed cities.
Firstly, it is often said that people living in states with lot of resorces and technology lead a stagnant lifestyle. The public resources are used in a way that make a person lazy and inactive to do daily life chores. For instance, Apps like Zomato or Zepto make an individual’s daily life easier but at the same time make them prone to entitlement. Employment of such cities are mostly based on corporation and capitalism which means that people lack active work that makes them healthy and fit. This can cause a lot of health problems like obesity and heart disease.
Furthermore, most of the major cities are in the middle of a climate crisis. The pollution is making its place day by day into the city and its people. For example, Delhi, the capital of India is one of the most developed city in the country but has faced major challenges towards pollution. Every winter the Air Quality Index (AQI) exceeds its maximum limit. Even this year the AQI reached more than 1,000 which is hazardous for human beings. It was estimated that living in delhi is equivalent to smoking 27 cigaretts in a day. Therefore, people living in cities like Delhi will face many health problems such as lung disease, cancer and skin infection to name a few.
In conlusion, development of cities is impotant for development of the nation but caution should be taken towards making a healthy lifestyle that benefits the country and its citizens. Thus, I agree that lager cities do make a person’s health bad.
