Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Some people consider that living in big cities is bad for people’s health, both in physical health and mental health. Some reason mainly; disruption of physical health such as air pollution due to dense population or even mental health which is discussed because of the pressure from the society. Some people also believe big cities will actually give you good health facilities. I will give my opinion about this

On the one hand, some people believe that living in big cities actually offers bigger privileges, including health. The infrastructure that big cities offer rather give us an equality for health. For example, For example, large hospital facilities, insurance facilities for existing diseases, both physical and mental, free counseling for psychiatrists or diseases. Regarding mental illness, the big social life in big cities sometimes provides big emotional support or free support from hospitals to go to psychiatrists. The big life offered by big cities can also provide color to someone who may be facing mental difficulties.

Some people argue that living in big cities has a negative impact on both physical and mental health. They believe that the high levels of air and noise pollution caused by traffic and industrial activities can lead to serious respiratory problems and stress-related illnesses. Moreover, the fast-paced lifestyle and constant competition in urban areas are seen as major contributors to anxiety and burnout. The lack of green spaces and limited opportunities to relax in nature are also considered to worsen mental health conditions. For many, the crowded public spaces and long commuting hours reduce the quality of life and leave little time for self-care, ultimately affecting their overall well-being.

However, I personally disagree with the idea that living in big cities is bad for people’s health. While there are undeniable challenges, many urban areas offer far more advanced healthcare systems and greater awareness about health in general. Cities often provide better access to hospitals, clinics, and specialists, including mental health professionals, which is not always available in rural areas. In addition, big cities frequently promote healthy lifestyles through public fitness programs, well-maintained parks, and awareness campaigns. People also have more options to choose nutritious food and join wellness communities. With proper time management and access to available facilities, people can maintain a healthy lifestyle even in a busy urban setting.
